Our goal is to plant a tree for every student that travels sustainably as an analogy of the growth that starts when as they go through their Degree. Just like a tree, your growth will positively impact the world.

Trees for trips & Trees for Graduates are a student-led initiative born from "The Pitch for the Planet, 2022" competition at the University of Sussex. The strategic goal for the University of Sussex is to be one of the most sustainable universities in the world. The University aims to show global leadership in demonstrating and promoting all forms of environmental, social and economic sustainability at a local, regional, national and international level. Throughout the University networks, we are partnering with local tree planters to plant the trees in Sussex.

The student recruitment team at the University of Sussex were delighted to partner with Trees for Trips for our upcoming ‘Your Root To Sussex’ scheme, encouraging visitors to our large scale open day events to opt for more sustainable modes of transport. We pledged to plant a tree for each prospective student who supported our sustainability mission with the help of the Trees for Trips team. It’s great to partner with Sussex graduates who are striving to improve waterways and biodiversity in the surrounding Sussex areas
